Duke Energy Electricity Rate Calculator (Ohio Only)

This calculator tool has been designed to be simple and user-friendly. If you are receiving your electricity supply from Duke Energy and not using a certified retail energy supplier (CRES) as approved by the Ohio Public Utilities Commission, the calculator will give you the ability to quickly determine how much you paid for electricity (supply only as indicated by the line item Total Generation Charges) for the month(s) represented by your bills. The calculator will also provide an estimated annual spend for electricity supply from Duke Energy to help you with budget preparation for your business.

Finally, the calculator tool will give you an estimate of how much you can save by enrolling in the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce's Electricity Affinity Program, both on a $/kWh and percentage basis as well as the total annual amount ($) saved.

*Please note that the calculator is designed to determine electricity supply rates only, not natural gas supply rates. Duke Energy bills often include both commodities. Be sure that as you input the required information, that you are using information from the electric portion of your bill.

Instructions: Use the sample bill on this page to locate and identify the necessary information on your own bill(s). Each box of the calculator has a letter beside it. Using the sample bill provided on the left, find the corresponding letter on your own bill and input the information. If your account has multiple meters, simply add all the corresponding data and input into the appropriate box of the calculator, i.e., add all kWh Usage and enter, add all Total Generation Charges and enter. As this information is added, the calculator will populate and illustrate the value being brought to you as a valued Member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Single-month rate: This portion of the calculator will enable you to determine a single month's electricity supply rate. If your business has multiple accounts with or without multiple meters, add the kWh usage and the Total Generation Charges for that month and enter into the appropriate box.
